OSHA 1926.350: Safe Site Protocols

Mobile welding brings high-voltage equipment and high-pressure gases onto active jobsites. To protect our team and your staff, Palm Beach Welding operates strictly under OSHA 1926.350 guidelines.

Cylinder Safety on Mobile Units

Compressed gas cylinders are essentially rockets if handled incorrectly. OSHA requires:

• Cylinders must be secured in an upright position at all times.
• Valve protection caps must be in place unless the unit is in active use.
• Oxygen and fuel gas cylinders must be separated by at least 20 feet or a 5-foot fire-resistant barrier when in storage.

Fire Prevention & "Hot Work"

Before an arc is struck, we perform a site assessment to ensure no flammable vapors or materials are within 35 feet of the welding area. This is the difference between a successful repair and a catastrophic site fire.
